Youth Self-Defense Classes in New York City

KME’s Krav Maga classes for kids are a safe and effective way for children to learn the tools they need to identify and handle a variety of scenarios that they may encounter in their daily lives. Our engaging Kids Krav program will build strength and mental resilience while providing tools and techniques they can use to protect themselves from danger.

As with almost everything in life, starting early in life is the best way to go.

Our mission at Krav Maga Experts is simple; to give your children specific kids self-defense knowledge to empower them with life skills while building a healthy sense of overall physical and mental confidence. In today’s reality, we must be as vigilant as ever. Krav Maga provides the necessary martial arts tools to safeguard your kids from a wide array of threats and to do so quickly, independently and intelligently.

In Krav Maga, we always aim to disengage from violence. The majority of our work is in teaching students how to identify potential threats and avoid them. Our students get expert Krav Maga instruction to understand the fundamental concepts of self-awareness, assertiveness, and the ability to use verbal techniques to defuse dangerous situations. These tactics are ideal to avoid becoming involved in physical confrontations and are essential against typical classroom bullies. Bullying can take many forms, and part of being able to stop bullying is to do so in a manner that doesn’t compromise our student’s future or success.

Children even as young as toddlers spend time outside of the scope of their parents’ protection and must learn these different approaches to staying safe. Between our self defense methods of physical defense and emphasis on self-respect and discipline, Krav Maga is an excellent way to teach kids how to protect themselves while shaping mental fortitude and integrity. These solid foundations will stay with them, wherever they go, throughout their life.

Here are just some of the benefits of our Kids Krav classes in New York City:
  • Learning real-life self-defense skills
  • More confidence and self-esteem
  • Better academic performance
  • Improved focus and awareness
  • Ability to handle bullying
  • Decreased level of stress and anxiety

The instructors at Krav Maga Experts are dedicated to instilling a comprehensive and practical understanding of self-defense to stop and prevent bullying from adversely affecting our adolescent & youth practitioners. Bullying comes in many different forms, especially when kids are alone and away from friends or family. In our Krav Maga classes, there is a strong emphasis on identifying the many signs of bullying and learning how to de-escalate without resorting to physical altercations. Sadly, most parents don’t even know their child is a victim of bullies until it is too late and the psychological and physical damage is done.

Telltale signs of bullying include:

• Name calling and teasing.
• Stealing or damaging personal property.
• Threats and intimidation.
• Physical violence: punching, pinching, kicking and more.

It’s imperative as parents and guardians that we communicate with our children and are conscious of these telltale signs to prevent or stop bullies once and for all.
