Our mission is to make a positive impact on the life of every student who walks through our doors. We redefine the way that Krav Maga is taught. We instruct the individual, not the crowd. Our approach is free from ego, competition, or rigid tradition. Instead we are about inner strength, learning from each other, and knowing where Krav Maga came from and where it is headed.
Our goal is to witness people grow and stand an inch taller every time they leave our doors.
At Krav Maga Experts, we believe self-defense is a fundamental right and vital life skill. Our number one goal is to empower individuals with the confidence, strength, and resilience to handle life’s challenges, combining physical techniques with a mindset of preparedness and self-assurance
We teach students to value and respect themselves, which translates into a positive outlook and rejection of negativity.
Practical self-defense skills build confidence and mental fortitude, ensuring students can protect themselves and their loved ones.
Our training empowers students to feel safe and confident, to walk in peace, using their skills to choose calmness over aggression whenever possible.
Our instructors continually refine their skills and knowledge, providing top-notch, up-to-date training.
Our methods are designed for real-life situations, making self-defense accessible and effective for everyone.
Ensuring a safe training environment is paramount, allowing students to learn without fear of injury.
We foster a supportive environment where resilience, self-esteem, and physical strength grow through mutual encouragement and discipline.
We tailor our approach to each individual, addressing both physical and mental aspects to achieve overall growth and transformation.

Martial artists, veterans, and educators. One mission: to teach you how to protect what you love.
Tsahi Shemesh was six years old when he first stepped onto a Krav Maga mat in Israel, training under the direct students of Imi Lichtenfeld, the man who built the system from street fights in 1930s Bratislava and spent his life refining it for the IDF. That lineage shaped everything that followed.
In 2001 he entered the IDF's Paratroopers Brigade, served in the West Bank, trained in dignitary protection and counterterrorism, and finished with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He earned his instructor certification from the Wingate Institute and was certified by the International Krav Maga Federation, serving as USA Director and lead instructor course trainer for Master Gabi Noah's global team.
He moved to New York in 2010 and founded Krav Maga Experts with a single purpose: to make people genuinely better for having trained with him. In the years since, he has built ongoing programs at many of the city's leading universities, including Columbia University, New York University, and Pace University. He travels the world leading corporate workshops for organizations ranging from emerging companies to global institutions like Google, McKinsey & Company, and Facebook. He has trained NYPD officers, EMTs, and first responders. He has worked extensively with domestic violence shelters and mental health organizations, bringing Krav Maga to people for whom reclaiming a sense of safety is not a fitness goal but a turning point.
Across thirty-five years and tens of thousands of students, Tsahi's teaching produces people who carry themselves differently, think more clearly under pressure, and act with control when it matters. It shows up in how people speak in meetings, how they walk home at night, how they respond when something goes wrong. The mat is where the work starts. Not where it ends.
Beyond the gym, Tsahi writes on Jewish identity, leadership, and the case for an active, undeferred resilience. His work appears in The Times of Israel, eJewishPhilanthropy, Jewish News Syndicate, The Algemeiner, and Aish. His book Hard to Beat extends those ideas into a full argument, with a second book already underway. He hosts the Krav-Talk Podcast and writes the KME Blog, reaching students, instructors, and readers well beyond the mat.
Tsahi Shemesh is an IDF veteran, a father, and one of the most distinctive instructor voices in the world of self-defense and human resilience.
Marco has been training in martial arts since 1985. He holds a 4th-degree black belt in Karate, a brown belt in Judo, and a 2nd-degree black belt in Krav Maga, earning his G2 certification through KME in 2018. His competitive record spans full-contact kickboxing, going 5 and 1 between 1997 and 2001, with appearances at the Top Kick Championship and Ring of Combat, and bare-knuckle Kyokushin Karate, where he competed at the Mas Oyama Gold Cup and reached the finals and semi-finals of the North American Kyokushin US Open.
He teaches adult classes at KME and leads the Kids Program at KME Brooklyn, bringing thirty years of hard-won competition experience into a structured environment built around accountability, practical skill, and the kind of quiet confidence that develops when young people realize what they are capable of.
Kristin trained as a dancer before she trained in martial arts. Her entry into fighting came through kickboxing in high school, and after moving to New York City in 2013 she committed fully to Krav Maga, earning her G5 rank and spending six years teaching before joining KME. She describes martial arts as a form of dance where people hit each other, and that is exactly how she teaches it.
She cross-trains in Boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Off the mat, Kristin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Master's degrees in Social Work and Public Health. Her specialization in trauma-informed care is not a credential she keeps separate from her teaching. It is the foundation of it.
Eliran started teaching Krav Maga at fourteen, working with kids and teens in Israel under the guidance of Ami Niv. He began training in 1992, completed an intensive instructor certification in 2001 under Rony Kluger and Dennis Hanover, and served three years in the Israeli Defense Forces with the Haruv Regiment, an elite unit where he led weekly Krav Maga training for his platoon. He finished his service at the rank of First Class Sergeant.
Outside the mat, Eliran spent over a decade working in Israel's high-tech sector before relocating. Since 2015, in response to rising safety concerns including the Knife Intifada, he has focused on private training, working closely with individuals who need practical, real-world skills and a genuine shift in how they carry themselves. His approach is built on awareness, control, and purpose.
Breo has been training in martial arts for over forty years. Originally from Spain, he holds a Master Belt in Karate, a Black Belt in Taekwondo, and a Brown Belt in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, alongside years as a competitive multi-sport athlete. Before joining KME he spent his career on Wall Street and has taught as a part-time professor.
He holds an E1 rank in Krav Maga. His teaching is grounded in biomechanics and functional movement, and his professional background shapes how he approaches instruction: every technique comes with the reasoning behind it, because students who understand why something works are the ones who can actually use it.
Daniel began training in Karate at a young age, earning his black belt in Shudokan, and has since built a practice that spans Judo, Kendo, Boxing, Kung Fu, and Systema. He joined Krav Maga Experts in 2023 and brings both martial arts depth and a strong teaching background to his instruction.
His focus is on mechanics and practical application. The breadth of his training across systems gives him an ability to explain the same concept multiple ways until it lands.
Giga is a Master of Sport in kickboxing with 33 competitive fights and 31 first-place victories. Champion of Ukraine and Georgia, he has been coaching since the age of 17, longer than most instructors have been training.
His background spans more than 25 years across combat sports and Krav Maga, working with children, teens, and adults at every level. His coaching is built on technical precision, disciplined conditioning, and the kind of mental resilience that competitive fighting develops and recreational training rarely reaches.
Max spent five years as a member of the Ukrainian National Boxing Team, competing nationally and internationally until 2022. Over a career of 255 bouts he earned 225 victories and became a multiple-time medalist at the Ukrainian National Championships, with podium finishes at the international level as well.
255 bouts is an unusual volume even at the elite level. It means Max has been in more situations, solved more problems in real time, and accumulated more rounds of genuine experience than most fighters will see in a lifetime. That depth is what he brings into the gym. His coaching focuses on sharp technique and disciplined movement built through intelligent repetition.
Michael has been training and coaching in Muay Thai and self-defense for over fifteen years. He began in traditional Muay Thai, built a foundation through amateur competition in full-contact striking, and has since added a Krav Maga instructor certification and ongoing training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
His understanding of grappling and ground defense shapes how he approaches every class. His teaching connects striking with real-world application, helping students build control and effective skills under pressure.
Mike earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under the Gracie lineage in 2024, bringing a pressure-based, positional approach built on six years of focused grappling work. Before committing fully to Jiu-Jitsu he trained in Krav Maga to the P5 level and competed as a high school wrestler, a background that shows in how he teaches control and movement under resistance.
His instruction emphasizes purposeful positioning and building skills that hold up when it matters.
Joy is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under the Gracie lineage, with nearly a decade of training and a deep focus on no-gi grappling. Promoted to brown belt in 2023, she is known for a technical, submission-oriented style built on leverage rather than size. Her game is built on leverage, not size.
Since beginning her coaching in 2024, she has worked with students of all ages, emphasizing precision, control, and the kind of confidence that comes from knowing your technique holds up under real pressure.
Zeke is a competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under the Gracie lineage with over five years of training and competition experience in no-gi grappling. His style is built on efficiency and fluid transitions, the kind of game that wins through position and timing rather than force.
He brings a performance-driven mindset to every class, helping students develop positional awareness, conditioning, and skills that translate directly to live grappling.
